Hi, I'm Marko — a full-stack engineer who cares about the whole arc of building software, from product ideation through technical delivery to the implementation itself. I think about UI/UX in every app I use, and I take particular pride in shaping experiences that stay out of your way.

I've shipped work like the Apple Card at Goldman Sachs and the Pluto TV web platform at Paramount. My title these days is delivery lead, but I never stopped building — I've just made it the priority, and my focus always gravitates back to the product and engineering.

Moonberry

Private beta · v0.5.0

A native app for Apple platforms, serving self-hosted libraries across multiple services — currently Jellyfin, Seerr, and Audiobookshelf — with support for additional services planned.

  • All of your media in one app — movies, shows, books, and audiobooks.
  • Native CarPlay playback for audiobooks.
  • Small UX details matter: default subtitles so you don't have to set them on every show, reorderable home rows that put what you want to see first, and playback that rivals Plex — direct play or HLS transcode, negotiated per device.

A companion Go media server is being built to serve all of this from the ground up and aggregate metadata relationships — Jellyfin hasn't delivered on its promise of a spec-compliant media server, and I intend to fill that slot.

Technical details
Under the hood: modular Swift packages with MVVM on the Observation framework, Quick Connect sign-in, Keychain-backed sessions, and AVFoundation playback with server-negotiated direct-play vs HLS transcode. Shipped to TestFlight with a release runbook and a BDD beta test plan.

MTG Vault

Active development

A self-hosted Magic: The Gathering collection tracker and deck builder, focused on surfacing interesting data about your collection and making deck building easier.

  • Spreadsheet-style card entry — every printing is identified by its set code and collector number, which makes entering cards much faster than scanning apps.
  • Better deck building: most apps stop at a maybeboard — MTG Vault lets you slot candidate cards right next to the ones they'd replace, swap them in and out, and watch your deck's curve, cost, and breakdown change as you do.
Technical details
Under the hood: Scryfall's bulk dataset ingested into a locally searchable catalog of 534k+ printings; versioned OpenAPI contracts with generated TypeScript clients and CI drift checks; inventory modeled as append-only transactions with idempotency keys and compensating undo; 32 Playwright scenarios covering full E2E lifecycles, accessibility, and visual regression.

Operational

A Debian server running containerized media services and local LLM inference on an RTX 3090, with Tailscale network segmentation separating exposed and internal services — nothing is exposed to the public internet. It currently houses multiple local models running a set of recurring workloads.

Built internal delivery-analytics tooling end to end — Python and SQL over the Jira REST API with a React frontend — restoring sprint, quarterly, and scope-change visibility for VP leadership; now used daily by teammates. Sole delivery lead for 3 engineering teams (~21 people).

Technical Program Manager II

Owned delivery of the Pluto TV web platform across 3 squads (24 engineers); partnered on the Kubernetes migration, an AWS Personalize recommendation engine, and raising code coverage from 45% to 75%. Increased production releases from 7 to 24 per year, moving the platform from a monthly cadence to a roughly biweekly one.
